Creating opportunities for individuals and families to thrive through education, asset-building, advance planning and community engagement.
The Vision
NLP inc. envisions neighborhoods with strong, healthy families. Inclusive leadership in public and private sectors will work together to give  everyone access to a quality education, a stable career opportunity, and a healthy, affordable place to call home. By harnessing the power of cooperation, the value of diversity, and the impact of giving back, NLP foresees families with both the desire and the means to end poverty, to restore safety at home, to  heal community trauma and to make their dreams for prosperous futures a reality.
Our Mission
NLP inc.'s mission is to help families overcome systemic barriers to their economic opportunity, to health and well-being, and to building a legacy to pass on.  Our programs help families LEARN MORE,  EARN MORE, CARE MORE, and SHARE MORE!
Our History
New Legacy Project Inc. (NLP inc.) was the brainchild of a group of local business associates in 2013. The group was disappointed to see the deteriorating effects that urban flight had on the middle-class neighborhoods of northeast Baltimore. Determined that lost jobs, failed business, foreclosed homes, and social injustice was not the legacy that they envisioned for their community, the group strategized on how to uplift their neighbors. The New Legacy Project Inc. is a IRS recognized 501(c)3 non-profit community development organization incorporated in 2015 after 2 years of informal community activism.
